bio
Cara Albo is a girl who knows what she wants , and works hard for it. Writing music and acting in musical theatre since the young age of 9 , Cara Albo always knew she wanted to perform. As she got older the drive and ambitions of this young lady expanded as she is now a Singer/Songwriter , Dancer , Film/Tv actress , and Producer. The " I can do it all " attitude has never limited Cara , as she releases " Embrace Me" her debut cd for all to hear and a Christmas single to go out with a bang for 2009.
What can you expect from her debut CD?
Embrace Me, is brimming with gutsy guitar solos, has catchy sing-along choruses, power pop rock attitude, and even emotional songs that bring you closer to this young star. Cara's love for music is evident , as she finished the soundtrack ( underscore and singles ) for her debut movie Cat's Cradle. Expect some renditions of the movies popular songs on her cd as well.
What can you expect from her Christmas single?
Cara Albo was at a store in September and when she saw they were already carrying Egg-nog she couldn't believe it! " I had been toying with this idea of putting out a Christmas song. For the last year I've had this chorus in my head that was more up-beat welcoming christmas and enjoying the feeling of spending it with that special person , or even the special people in your life ." After leaving the store , she sat down and wrote out the song. Later she asked MSO's (my sister ocean) Holden Daniels to come on to produce it and then all of a sudden she had a Christmas single. "Welcome to Christmas Time" is an up-beat modern Christmas song with catchy choruses , power pop vocals and an underlying rock edge. " I am very proud of this song, it was not only fun to write but extremely fun to sing - I hope people get as much enjoyment out of it as I have "
As an artist with a keen creative sense and trained music ear, Cara is intensely involved in all her projects. In her first feature film Cara was involved in the music of the movie as well as Production and of course playing the lead character Cat Adams. She also sold the film over 3 times to different distributors , travelled around the world to 36 film festivals/markets with her biggest accomplisment being screened at the Cannes Film Festival. Her second Feature Film "Unfinished Business" released in Oct 2009 has a distribution deal with a German Company . Cara plays the lead role Emma who is haunted by her past which might unfortunately end up her future. She and Holden Daniels (MySisterOcen) wrote and recorded the underscore to the movie as well.
Embrace Me, features the production skills of Juice - JMP PRODUCTIONS (who has also produced Incura, Wide Mouth Mason, Todd Kerns and Hot Hot Heat ), Dan Swinimmer - Manic Down Productions ( who has recorded for Jet Black Stare, Twin City , Superbeing and Beyond The Fall ). Cara being a song writer herself , teamed up with Jason Wilkinson from major label Island/Def Jam/Universal for the writing process to have utter perfection on all the songs. Even Wide Mouth Mason's Shaun Verreault came in to lend his voice for back up tracks and wrote a wicked guitar part for the song "I'll Never Let You Go." The process of making a cd turned out to be a blast: “As much work that goes into making a record - I had so much fun and have cherished all these creative moments with all these wonderful people I have met along the way,” she says.
A great deal has happened in Cara’s life since she started in the entertainment business at the young age of 9.
Theatre experiences include (most recently) : Into The Woods (Principal)(Choreographer) (Assistant Director) ; MacBeth – (Principal) ; Godspell - (Lead) ( Choreographer) ( Voice instructor); Tom Jones – (Lead); At the Zenith of the Empire by Stewart Lemoine - (Lead).

Cara's training is also extensive as she studied Dramatic Arts and Film Studies at Kings University. She has also taken many weekend and night courses over the years to extend her training.
So what makes Cara who she is? " At the end of all this , I want to connect with people - this type of music is the best way I know how. With Film its about having a great story well told, your viewer will know when you are acting and when you are a part of that character. I strive to become every character I ever take on to make sure I never have the moment when my audience stops feeling apart of what I am doing. I work hard and have determination. Tons of people have talent , but its those who strive to accomplish things and dare to be remarkable in all they do that make it " Cara recently said. And with that attitude Cara truly is a star in the making....
